Process
The design process for the ESK app involved several key stages. We began by understanding our users: doctors (ANMs), who oversee small tehsils, and nurses (ASHAs), who visit villages to identify and enroll beneficiaries, providing education and monitoring progress.
Our research started with interviews of doctors in a remote Rajasthan village. These discussions revealed the entire workflow and challenges doctors face in managing multiple nurses. We also interviewed several nurses to understand their daily tasks and difficulties.
With a clear understanding of these workflows and challenges, we created detailed wireframes and journey maps for both user groups. These wireframes outlined essential functionalities, while the journey maps highlighted key interactions within the app. This user-centered approach ensured the ESK app was tailored to meet the specific needs of both doctors and nurses, resulting in a more effective and efficient healthcare management tool.

Outcome
The outcome was a product that greatly impressed both stakeholders and users. The system facilitated seamless onboarding and registration of beneficiaries, allowing users to easily add personal stats, monitor their progress, and receive timely updates in case of emergencies. Doctors benefited from instant updates about their patients' statuses, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to any issues.
Nurses found the product particularly useful for recording and managing data and services. They could efficiently track and manage the health data of the beneficiaries, ensuring that all necessary information was accurately captured and easily accessible. Additionally, the system allowed nurses to monitor their earnings, which were directly linked to the number of beneficiaries they registered and served, thereby providing them with a clear view of their performance and incentives.
A comprehensive global dashboard provided stakeholders with a powerful tool to oversee the entire program. This feature enabled them to monitor the program's progress in detail, evaluate the performance of various users, and ensure that the program's goals were being met. The dashboard's insights helped in making informed decisions and optimizing the program's effectiveness.
Overall, the product streamlined processes, improved data management, and enhanced the ability to monitor and respond to the needs of beneficiaries, making it a highly valuable tool for all involved.
